Intrapopulation variation in Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) plantations by biochemical characteristics of needles
Journal Title: Лісівництво і агролісомеліорація - Year 2014, Vol 124, Issue
Abstract
Data on using of morphological and biochemical characteristics for study the intrapopulation variation and correlations of Scots pine plantations are given. The plantations were created within a single experimental plot using planting material of different number of mother trees. It is shown that the ratio of the content of some major components of the primary and secondary synthesis can be a criterion for evaluation of interpopulation and intrapopulation variability of species, as well as be marker in selection.

Effect of thinning intensity on the mensuration parameters of oak stands in fresh maple-lime oak forest in the Left-bank Forest-Steppe
Productivity and quality of oak forests largely depend on site conditions, health condition, composition, age, the stand density and forest management. The current state of oak stands shows the insufficient use of the po...
State and productivity of oak stands in Forest-Steppe of Kharkiv region
Introduction Oak forests are the dominant forest stands in forest steppe, especially in Kharkiv region. Over the past decade, researchers have noted the degradation and reduction of oak stands in Ukraine. The aim was to...
Phytoindication of climatic regimes of forest ecosystems ecotopes for Central Russian Upland Steppe and Forest forestry district of Ukraine
Issues of phytoindication and phytomonitoring of major ecological factors for large-scale regional (zonal) investigations are analyzed. Subjects of research are the first level monitoring plots (114 plots), located in Kh...
