Investigating the relationship between implementing new information technology systems and improvement of organizational goals (Case study: Urmia Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Mines)

Abstract

The goal of the present study is to investigate the relationship between implementing novel information technology systems and improvement of organizational goals in West Azarbaijan Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Mines. The study is applied, descriptive and survey in terms of goal, quality of data collection and quality of implementation. The statistical population comprises of 730 employers working in West Azarbaijan Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Mines among whom 252 subjects were chosen as statistical sample using Cochran formula. In order to collect the data, questionnaire including 32 items was used, the reliability of the questionnaire was obtained as 0.768 using Cronbach alpha which showed a good command of reliability. In order to make analysis on the data, SPSS software was used and descriptive as well as inferential statistics were employed. Also, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was utilized to study normal or non-normal status of variables distribution. The results of the study indicated that there was a relationship between implementing new information technology systems and improving organizational goals among members of Chambers of Commerce, Industries and Mines.
