INVESTIGATION OF THE CHEMICAL TRANSFORMATIONS OF LUBRICATING OILS MADE USING PLANT MATERIALS
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2011, Vol 239, Issue 5
Abstract
Products of natural origin represent a rich source of compounds with antioxidant properties. Investigations concerning chemical composition and possible applications of these products in lubricating materials technology were conducted. The transformations of the compositions based on natural materials arising during the oxidation process were studied. The assessment of the chemical composition of base oils with plant products was carried out by the FTIR spectrophotometric method.

INVESTIGATION OF SOME CHOSEN STEELS USED FOR SOIL WORKING ELEMENTS
The intensity of wear of three kinds of steel was studied in field conditions. Two kinds of boric steel meant for working parts of agricultural utensils operating in soil and soft steel (S 235) were used for comparison....
THE ISSUE OF THE INFLUENCE OF WEAR ON THE TEMPERATURE FIELD OF A FRICTION COUPLE
Trials for the identification of the temperature field of friction couple elements have been made in numerous experimental and theoretical researches. The direct investigation of temperature taking into consideration the...
FAT CELL BURNING DURING HYDRODYNAMIC SWEAT LUBRICATION
This paper presents hydrodynamic lubrication of human skin by the thin layer sweat restricted on the tight fitting sportswear surface during the sport training. The aim of this paper is to determine the influence of the...
MODIFICATION OF THE T-17 TESTER HOLDER TO ENABLE TRIBOLOGICAL TESTS TO BE CARRIED OUT IN A ROLLER-PLATE COUPLE
The aim of this paper is to propose a solution that will make it possible to perform tribological tests of materials intended for rolling elements (e.g., rollers) interacting with a flat surface (e.g., sliding door guide...
INTERACTION OF NOVEL LUBRICANT ADDITIVES BASED ON MoS2 NANOTUBES WITH NON-FERROUS TRIBOLOGICAL MATERIALS
MoS2 nanotubes (NTs) are novel lubricant additives reducing friction and wear of mechanical components made of steel. Nowadays, non-ferrous surfaces are becoming more widely used, mainly as multifunctional coatings worki...
