Investigation of the effect of play-based environmental activities on the environmental awareness of preschool children

Abstract
The aim of this research is to understand the effects play-based learning activities on the environmental awareness of preschool children. As the research consists of the effect of learning activities on children, a single-case study (type 1) from qualitative studies was used. Sampling children were from a middle social-economic level public elementary school in Nilufer, Bursa. There were 15 children who were aged 5-6. In the research, the data was collected by a half-structured interviewing method and content analysis and descriptive analysis methods were used for the analysis. The result of the data analysis showed that the activities supported children's environmental awareness and they widened their point of views.
