Journal Title: Shanghai Journal of Preventive Medicine - Year 2023, Vol 35, Issue 5
Abstract
ObjectiveTo investigate the quality of disinfection in the SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid sampling sites in Shanghai.MethodsSwab samples of medical staffâ hands and environments of different SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid sampling sites were collected from July to September 2022ï¼ with the total number of bacterial colonies cultured and counted.ResultsA total of 728 swab samples were collected from 69 sampling sites. The median total number of bacterial colonies on hand surfaceï¼ object surface and air samples were 0 CFU·cm-2ï¼ 0 CFU·cm-2ï¼ and 1 CFU·ï¼petri dishâ5 minï¼-1ï¼ respectivelyï¼ and P95 was 13 CFU·cm-2ï¼ 5.3 CFU·cm-2ï¼ and 17.8 CFU·ï¼culture vesselâ5 minï¼-1ï¼ respectively. According to the GB 15982â2012 Hygienic Standard for Disinfection in Hospitals class â £ environmentï¼ 680 samples met the standard ï¼93.4%ï¼. Furthermoreï¼ 96.9%ï¼ 92.0%ï¼ and 92.2% of the samples in the sampling sites of tertiary/secondary hospitalsï¼ community health centersï¼ and community convenience sampling sites met the standardï¼ respectively. Quality of disinfection did not differ significantly across these sampling sites.ConclusionThe quality of disinfection in the SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid sampling sites in Shanghai is generally good. Additionallyï¼ hand hygiene of medical staff and disinfection on object surface in some sampling sites need to be strengthened.
