Iran’s National Security Policy

Abstract

The national security policy of Iran is challenged by the simple interpretations, such as religion, nationalism, ethnicity, economy and geopolitics, as important factors affecting Iran's goals and tactics in relation to the outside world, as well as the agendas of key security institutions and the aspirations of its leaders. As the Iranian security policy today is unpredictable, this study focuses on the basic pillars of national security policy, although the relative priority given by different leaders is different, the theoretical framework the fact that the ruling is the basis of this study, it is likely that these elements remain important factors that drive the decision-making process of security in Iran, under most future governments imaginable in Iran.
