Journal Title: Journal of Advances in VetBio Science and Techniques - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2

Abstract

Embryo transfer is the process of transferring embryos obtained in vivo from the donor animal's uterus, or ovum picked up (OPU) method under laboratory conditions or collected embryos from slaughtered ovaries in vitro to the carrier animals. In cattle, this process is the transferring the embryos obtained from donor mother and father with high genetic capacity and yield levels to the carrier cow. Embryo transfer is an alternative method to solve the problem of infertility besides being a method to meet breeding cattle necessity in a short time in high quality.
