Israeli-Palestinian Conflict and attempts of its settlement in the framework of relationships between parties at the beginning of the XXI century (2001-2009)

Abstract
The article, based on scientific literature from different countries and UN documents, exploring the relationship between Israel and Palestine in the Middle East settlement at the beginning of the XXI century in the period of the governments of A. Sharon and E. Olmert (2001-2009). Negotiations between the parties led to nothing and none of the main issues in achieving peace between the Palestinians and Israelis were resolved: Palestinian independence has not yet been proclaimed, refugees cannot return to their places of residence, Jerusalem’s status has not been determined, Israel’s settlement policy remains unchanged
