IT&C used by Individuals and Economic Development in Romania - Application of Cointegration and Vector Error Correction Model
Journal Title: Journal of Applied Computer Science & Mathematics - Year 2018, Vol 12, Issue 25
Abstract
Since the first decade of the 21st century, information and communication technology has become both a tool for the individual and, in many cases, a way of life. Undoubtedly, the Internet has revolutionized the society in which we live, has affected every sector of the economy, but at the same time has led to the emergence of a new phenomenon called digital divide. The aim of the present paper is to study the existence of long-term connections (cointegration) between the degree of use by individuals of information and communication technology (ICT) and social indicators which characterize the level of development at regional level (NUTS 2) in Romania. Results confirm the presence of significant direct influences of Participation rate in education and training and Gross domestic product on Percentage of individuals who ordered goods or services over the internet for private use. The results found from Romania can be generalized and compare to other countries which have similar features in terms of ICT and the level of economic development.

Secure and Efficient Diffusion Layers for Block Ciphers
Abstract–Modern block ciphers are designed to meet confusion and diffusion criteria. Substitution and permutation layers are used in the round function for this purpose. In this paper, we present a number of choices for...
Evaluating Web-based Technologies: The Paradigm of User-centricity
–Web Search Engines (WeSEs) are information systems that demonstrate large scale distributed system capabilities, and are fluxing and dynamic in nature. It is necessary to continually review them. There is need for metho...
Template Matching of Colored Image Based on Quaternion Fourier Transform and Image Pyramid Techniques
–Template matching method is one of the most significant object recognition techniques and it has many applications in the field of digital signal processing and image processing and it is the base for object tracking in...
Approximate solution of high-order integro-differential equations using radial basis functions
In this paper, we present a numerical method to solve linear and nonlinear high-order Volterra integro-differential equations. This method is based on interpolating by radial basis functions, using Legendre-Gauss-Lobatto...
Application Of Mathematical Methods For Condition Monitoring Of Oil And Gas Facilities
irections for numerical realization of two-dimensional models in different frames account for environmental heterogeneity of matter distribution have been presented. The schemes allow to measure concentration of substanc...
