JUSTIFICATION OF METHODICAL TOOLS FOR ASSESSING RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Purpose - justify the methodical tools for the integrated assessment of rural development by economic, social and environmental components and to offer a system of criteria, indicators and indexes in the contemporary economy. Methodology of research. Realization of the purpose and tasks of scientific work is carried out by means of the following methods: the system approach - in the formation of methodological principles for studying the development of rural territories, generalization - in substantiating the choice of existing methods of research and assessment of the state of socio-economic processes in rural areas; monographic - the study of literary sources and the scientific thought of the development and assessment of rural areas, taking into account the features of sustainable economic development. Findings. The existing methodogical approaches to the study of socio-economic processes in rural areas are analyzed; scientific methods are substantiated and a system of criteria, indicators and indexes for assessing the rural development is formed. Originality. The author's approach to the application of the methodological approach in the process of researching the economic, social and environmental components of rural development has been formed. It is proposed to use a system of substantiated criteria, indicators and indexes for a comprehensive assessment of the state and development of rural areas. The mathematical function of the ratio of indicators in a clear hierarchy of interconnection is determined. Practical value the results of the study are determined by the possibility of applying in the practice of scientific research an effective method of studying rural areas and carrying out a comprehensive assessment of their current state of the economic, social and environmental component.
