The main part is devoted to the interpretation of the short story The Great Wall of China, written by Kafka in the turbulent year of 1917, the year of World War and the revolution. However, the author also refers to the current international research literature to demonstrate that the Chinese inspirations of the writer from Prague are widely reflected in his other texts and biographical testimonies.
