Abstract
No country (and no national budget) in which there is no efficient public health system (disease prevention and health promotion) is able to cover the exponentially growing costs of medical care for the aging population (Z. Jakab (WHO / EURO), MJ Wysocki (NIZP-PZH), Warsaw, 3.06, 2013). This opinion was stated at the meeting of the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
