Kievan Rus’ Roots of Autochtonous Population of Ovruch Region (as a Result of Work of Ovruch Expedition in 2016)

Journal Title: Українознавство - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue 60

Abstract

The article investigates the question of continuity of ethnocultural development of native population of Ovruch region since the 10th–13th centuries. Genetic connection of autochtons of the Ovruch ridge with the Rus population of the region of princely times is a convincing argument in favour of the early medieval version of origin of Ukrainians.
