Abstract

Oral malodour has always been the major community health issue as it leads to social and professional rejection. It is the major cause of social and psychological handicap. This condition may encompass both oral and non-oral disorders. A dental practitioner often comes across the patients suffering from halitosis and should be able to manage it. The present review summarizes the aetiology, diagnosis and management of oral malodour which might further help them in managing such patients more effectively.
