Abstract

The article discusses the main aspects of the functioning the “knowledge economy”. This is a new format of the economy, which appeared as a result of the evolutionary development of economic systems. In the article are considered the methods of formation the intellectual image of the modern knowledge economy. Individual and collective knowledge is an important asset of long-term competitive advantage. In the activities of modern organizations, it has been proposed to use knowledge networks as a special mechanism for creating and sharing intellectual assets. Networks allow you to create and share knowledge, manage it. This format overcomes the communication constraints caused by a rigid hierarchical society of organizations and a clear distribution of the functional responsibilities of employees. Knowledge networks facilitate contacts between carriers of unique knowledge. The paper considers the factors that determine the success of the formation of such networks, as well as the functional links between them that affect the process and results of network interaction. This approach is systematic, is quite versatile and can contribute to the improvement of the management processes of the organization, increasing its productivity and efficiency.
