Abstract
The aim of the publication is to analyze the managerial competences focusing especially on the proinnovative ones. The presentation of the innovation role in the context of new management paradigm has been conducted. The competency components have been analyzed in relation to innovation management of enterprises. The recommendations concerning managers development have been identified.
