Abstract
The article deals with the features of the composite and substantial organization of the texts of the critical portraits «Notes about Chenier» and «Boris Pasternak» by O. Mandelstam. The genre identification of studied articles allows to trace some stages of formation of author’s genre model of a literary and critical portrait in O. Mandelstam’s creativity.
