Kongres UITP w Mediolanie : narzędzia i procesy dla wzmocnienia roli transportu publicznego w miejskich obszarach funkcjonalnych

Abstract
Regularnie, co 2 lata, Międzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie Transportu Publicznego UITP organizuje światowe kongresy będące platformą wymiany doświadczeń w zakresie organizacji, oceny i promowania transportu publicznego w miastach, wdrażania nowych technologii i relacji z otoczeniem, w jakim funkcjonuje komunikacja miejska i regionalna. Na przestrzeni ostatniego dziesięciolecia kolejne kongresy organizowane były głównie w europejskich stolicach, m.in. w Londynie, Madrycie, Rzymie, Helsinkach i w Wiedniu. Jedynie w 2011 r. delegaci UITP gościli w Dubaju, a 2 lata temu w Genewie. W bieżącym roku kongres został zorganizowany we włoskim Mediolanie w dniach od 9 do 11 czerwca pod hasłem „Uśmiech w mieście".
