Abstract
The aim of contribution is to show on specific aspects of environmental impact assessment of technical objects with the emphasis on the role of „landscape“ and landscape-ecological evaluation in Slovakia. This analysis was done on the basis of several years ́ duration of methodological, educational and practical experience, especially in the field of industrial estates and energetic facilities. On the basis of 25 evaluated activities (by creation of preliminary impact studies, environmental impact reports, reviews) assessed in 1999-2009 years as specific aspects were determined: choice of locality - „brown fields“ versus „green areas“, increased emphasis on cummulative impacts evaluation, strength- enings of clear suggestions of proposed activities including their visualisation, evaluation of visibility, public oposition to proposed activity
