Journal Title: Sport Mont - Year 2006, Vol 0, Issue 10

Abstract

Sporting activities are a very important aspect of social life. Considering the fact that many of the youth are active in sports, efforts should be made in order to provide them with quality conditions for progress and development. There are many factors on which success in sports and the quality of sporting performance depend. Some of the more important factors are: interpersonal relations (among sportspersons, family, coach, and school educator), financial investments into sports, degree of expertise of relevant competent persons, morality and willingness of the sportsperson, adaptability of modern law in sports to the needs of a contemporary society etc. There are instances when a certain number of aforementioned factors are not compliant to the needs of a sportsman, and they influence the development and progress of a sportsman in a negative manner. In order to overcome these problems, it is necessary to improve the functioning of all the segments which comprise a sportsman’s life. All of the problems should be clearly defined; a reform plan and method devised, and lastly, the actual realization of the solution should be approached. The final result of the reforms should be top-quality development and training for sportspersons and the advancement of sports as a whole.
