La gestion des marqueurs identitaires entre le transfert et le blocage
Journal Title: Diversité et identité culturelle en Europe (DICE) - Year 2019, Vol 2, Issue 16
Abstract
Managing identity markers between transfer and barriers The aim of this article is to address the problems of transferring socio-cultural information, by translation, from the source language to the target language. After highlighting the important role of the process of identifying this type of information carried by various elements of the text, we will examine the effects of the strategies adopted by translators regarding the management of these elements carrying specific information. Using examples from published bilingual texts (Romanian-French/ French - Romanian), we would like to underline their tendency to generate translation errors. The article also aims to identify the various types of barriers created by the high level of specificity of the socio-cultural information carried, barriers which can result in altering both the source text information and the resulting translated text.
