La investigación del arte rupestre del noroeste murciano. Un intento de síntesis

Abstract
This article is a journey through the great discoveries and milestones that have marked the development of prehistoric research, in this case, focusing on its most artistic aspect. Through a chronological tour, which focuses on the 20th century, different examples from the northwest of Murcia are discussed, such as Peña Rubia in Cehegín, the Pozo de Calasparra shelters or the Milano shelter in Mula. At the same time, the historiographical discourse includes all the technical developments that accompany it, such as the use of techniques like photogrammetry. Finally, it is worth mentioning the increase in the holding of scientific conferences at both regional and national level, where examples from the region are of great relevance.
