LA MOBILISATION DES RESSOURCES EN EAU : CONTEXTE CLIMATIQUE ET CONTRAINTES SOCIO-ECONOMIQUES (Cas de la Wilaya de Tlemcen)

Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2008, Vol 7, Issue 7

Abstract

Surface and underground water resources have a direct impact on the socioeconomical development of a region. Thus, it is capital to correctly study the hydro-geological side of these resources before proceeding to their mobilization. This study must be able to recommend the best adapted technique to economically mobilize and exploit these resources. The decrease of the rain fall and the important rate of increase of the population over the last thirty years in Tlemcen city and its surroundings were mainly responsible of an intensive mobilization of the water resources of this region. In this paper, we try to analyze the water resources mobilization in the region of Tlemcen. Are water resources of the region mobilized economically and rationally or solely in order to respond quickly to the needs of population?
