ŁAGODNA REWOLUCJA SEJMU WIELKIEGO

Abstract
Historia Sejmu Wielkiego jest powszechnie znana. O łagodnej rewolucji Sejmu Wielkiego natomiast wiadomo bardzo mało. Najczęściej dostrzega się jej przejawy w procesie przemian społecznych, czy we wzroście politycznego znaczenia szlachty. Podkreśla się też znaczenie łagodnej rewolucji w procesie przemian ustrojowych w czasie drugiej kadencji Sejmu Wielkiego, zwłaszcza w trakcie walki o wprowadzenie Konstytucji 3 Maja. Z reguły natomiast zapomina się o istocie łagodnej rewolucji, która najistotniejsze zmiany dokonała w czasie pierwszych sześciu miesięcy obrad Sejmu Wielkiego. Temu właśnie zagadnieniu rewolucyjnego, ale jednocześnie bezkrwawego dokonania zasadniczych reform poświęcony jest ten artykuł.
