Latin-American regional integration: Challenges and alternatives to integrated development.

Abstract

This work aims to present a brief analysis of the current level of the regional integration process in Latin America, considering its fragilities and proposing possible alternatives. On this context, this article intends to evaluate the applicability of the concept of “integrated development” on the politics of the region, as well as the role of the State and the private sphere on the conception of an efficient strategy of regional integration.
