Leadership theories: genesis and contemporary interpretation

Abstract
The article describes the evolution of the theoretical studies of the phenomenon of leadership. It deals with different concepts for the understanding of leadership and implementation of mechanisms; it specifies the peculiarities of emergence of the new theories. The author focuses on the relevance of certain theories in terms of current state of the scientific problem.
