Lean Tools for Productivity Improvement-A review
Journal Title: REST Journal on Emerging trends in Modelling and Manufacturing - Year 2016, Vol 2, Issue 4
Abstract
In today's worldwide, competitive and constantly changing business sector, market commercial enterprises need to look upon global business excellence. Competition has increased dramatically. Customers focus on product quality, product delivery time and cost of product. Because of these, company should introduce a quality system to improve and increase both quality and productivity continuously. In this research, a conceptual model for leanness measurement in the manufacturing industry has been developed and designed in two main levels, namely the dimensions and the factors. There are seven main dimensions in measuring leanness in lean manufacturing practices. The objective of this paper is to increase the productivity and quality of work by using lean tools.

Interfacial adhesion of UV curable polymers is important in Micro stereo lithography (MSL) due to the sticking problems during separation from their substrate and insuring adhesion between two dissimilar materials used i...
Effect of bend curvature on velocity & pressure distribution from straight to a 90° pipe bend - A Numerical Study
The present work deals with the numerical study of single-phase turbulent flow through a 90° pipe bend using k-ε turbulence model. A detailed study has been carried out to investigate the effect of bend curvature on both...
Numerical Study of Different Parameters on Dynamic Characteristics of E-Glass Epoxy Composite Laminates
Free vibration analysis of E-glass composite laminates is carried out using finite element method. An 8 node shell element consisting of 48 degrees of freedom is used. Results obtained by the analysis demonstrate the eff...
