Leczenie chorób zastawki mitralnej z perspektywy ostatniego wieku

Abstract
W artykule zostały zaprezentowane ważniejsze osiągnięcia związane z operacyjnym leczeniem zastawki mitralnej. Omówione zostały metody leczenia operacyjnego, bez zastosowania krążenia pozaustrojowego, jak też ewolucja technik z zastosowaniem maszyny płuco-serce. Pokrótce opisano rozwój technologii produkcji aktualnie wszczepianych sztucznych zastawek serca, jak też nowsze metody operacyjne i metody związane z zastosowaniem systemów telemanipulacyjnych oraz tzw. robotów medycznych. Na koniec przedstawiono systemy służące do leczenia bez konieczności otwierania klatki piersiowej, tzw. systemy do przezskórnego leczenia, głównie niedomykalności mitralnej.
