LEGAL NATURE AND STATUSE OF THE INTERNATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY AGENCY IN THE ORGANIZATIONAL MECHANISM OF COOPERATION OF STATES IN THE FIELD OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Abstract
The article is devoted to the overview of the preconditions for the creation and evolution of the International Agency for Renewable Energy. The general description of its institutional structure and the main directions of the organization's activity at the present stage is given. The focus is on the political and legal nature of the Agency, taking into account the provisions of the statute and the specifics of the functions that are assigned to it. It is concluded that, at present, the Agency’s functions are mainly aimed at ensuring that international cooperation in this area is filled with the necessary epistemological content, which contributes to the improvement of the law-making process itself, filling gaps regarding the most effective methods of legal regulation and economic incentives for the development of renewable energy.
