Abstract
The article analyzes the formal and legal regulation of scientific discoveries, inventions, innovations in the USSR and the Ukrainian SSR in 1959–1973 years. It is based on sources and some theoretical developments and it shows a number of legislative steps of Soviet authority in forming its own model of legal protection of scientific results of technical creativity.
