Leon Daraszkiewicz i jego monografia o hebefrenii

Abstract
Leon Daraszkiewicz (1866-1931) był polskim psychiatrą, uczniem i współpracownikiem E. Kraepelina i W. Cziża na Uniwersytecie w Dorpacie (obecnie Tartu w Estonii), autorem cenionej monografii o hebefrenii (1891). W swojej pracy w oparciu o ponad 20 historii chorób przedstawił historię naturalną tej choroby, swoje poglądy na jej etiologię i rokowanie. Hebefrenia w tym ujęciu stanowiła dla Kraepelina model kliniczny koncepcji dementia praecox. W artykule przybliżono postać Daraszkiewicza, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem roli jego dysertacji doktorskiej poświęconej hebefrenii w rozwoju koncepcji schizofrenii.
