Leonti Mroweli, Żywoty królów gruzińskich. Z języka starogruzińskiego przełożył i komentarzem opatrzył David Kolbaia

Abstract
Opisany przez Leonti Mroweliego w "Żywocie królów gruzińskich" schemat kartwelskich rodów (etnosów) oparty jest na źródłach pisanych. Wynika z niego, iż początkowo Kartols otrzymał swoją część ziemi na Kaukazie, a następnie jego dzieci i wnuki też otrzymały tam swoje ziemie. Dlatego Leonti Mroweli nazywa ich Kartlosowie. Cały kraj otrzymał nazwę „Kartli” wówczas, gdy stał się jednym państwem. Wcześniej nazywano go Chewi. Zamieszkiwały go plemiona mające niezależnie od liczebności własne nazwy (Kachowie, Kuchowie, Klardżowie, Szawszi, Dżawachowie). Ten fakt potwierdza fragment tekstu Mrowelego, opowiadający historię braci i wnuków Mcchetosa.
