LERMONTOV INTERTEXT IN THE STORY OF SERGEI DOVLATOV “THE RESERVE”

Abstract
The article considers the intertextuality of the story of S. Dovlatov “The Reserve” and installed and lermontov’s connections and allusions. Among Dovlatov’s pretexts, the work considers Lermontov’s texts marked in the national consciousness — the novel “The Hero of our time” and the lyrical poem “Motherland” (etc.). The authors of the article pay attention to the fact that there is no Pushkin’s text in the Dovlatov’s story. It is strange, if you take into account that the hero of the story works in the estate-museum of Pushkin. In the article, this absence of Pushkin’s text is motivated by the fact that Dovlatov was close to the world perception of Lermontov, and not Pushkin, to the reflection of Lermontov, his romantic discord with the world. The authors of the article consider the connection between the Dovlatov’s story and the Lermontov’s novel on several levels: plot motives, proximity of descriptions of nature, similarities in the assessment of the hero by other personages. However, as shown in the article, the mosaic of the pretexts of “The Reserve” is much wider and richer. Among postlermontov’s intertexts are the works of Marina Tsvetaeva (for example). The work concludes that the interpretation of the intertext in the novel by Dovlatov allows you to enter more capacious literary allusions and parallels, set the semantic synchrony between different texts of classic and modern literature. And this strategy, first of all, helps to reveal the image of the main character of the “ The Reserve” — Boris Alikhanov, an autobiographical character.
