Level of satisfaction and job performance of the nursing staff

Abstract
Introduction:Job satisfaction reflects the affections and emotions of the employee towards his work, allows understanding the different variables related to the efficiency of the organization, organizational commitment and job performance. In this sense, nursing professionals base their actions both on human care and on the management of the organization, creating conditions for their collective well-being. Objective:To determine the level of satisfaction and work performance of the nursing staff of the state directorate of health programs. Materials and methods:The present study was developed in the positivist quantitative paradigm; descriptive field modality, which consisted of a population of eight (8) nurses. To obtain the information, a questionnaire structured in two parts was applied, with a Likert-type scale that responds to the study variables. Results:They indicate that 100% of the sample elements are women over 35 years of age. Conclusion:The factors that influence job satisfaction, it is considered that 75% of Nursing staff are motivated and consider that the work environment, as well as the relationship between their boss, is necessary to achieve job satisfaction. Nursing staff have a level of job satisfaction of 75%, regarding work performance in the administrative function is high; medium in the teaching function and low with 25% in the research function
