Abstract
Lingual orthodontics is more difficult and complex than labial orthodonticsfor several reasons, such as difficulties in bracket positioning, patient comfort,maintenance of oral hygiene,with increasing in the demand of orthodontic treatment in adults patients there is a demand of such brackets they shpuld not be visiable duering the course of treatment. Clinically improved laboratory techniques have overcome many of the difficulties that a previous generation of orthodontists encountered when first trying to embrace this innovative technique to correct malocclusions. This article provides a brief history of lingual orthodontics. It will discuss the development of the technique
