LINGUISTIC UNIVERSALS: FROM DESCRIPTIVE GRAMMARS TO ANTHROPOCENTRIC COGNITIVISM

Abstract
The article considers the history of the research of linguistic universals. The beginning of the research dates back to the antique descriptive grammars, lately in the treatise of modists we can nd the term grammatical universalis, the philosophical perception of this term gave it ideoethic interpretation. A new stage in the research of the linguistic universals is closely associated with the second half of the XXth century and carrying out the scientic conference which is dedicated to the problems of linguistic universals in America 1960 and the acceptance the famous «Memorandum Concerning Language Universals». Further development of the universal studies in American generative grammar and soviet linguistics is characterized with the variety of denitions and the diversity of their understanding and ambiguous principles of their classications. Anthropocentric cognitive paradigm gave possibility to research mental processes of universal notions.
