LINGUOCOGNITIVE ASPECTS OF ACTUALIZATION OF THE ENGLISH CONCEPT “SPACE” (CASE STUDY NOVEL “GEORGE AND THE BIG BANG” BY S. HAWKING)

Abstract
The article deals with the research of English concept SPACE from the linguocognitive perspective. Nucleus of the nominative field is described and the semantics of its key verbalizers is analyzed. The peculiarities of functioning of main verbalizers in the literary text are determined using semantic-cognitive and contextual methods. Cognitive traits of concept, which constitute its semantic prototype, are characterized. The differences between concept objectification by lexicographically registered sources and actualization in the literary text are identified.
