Abstract
"During the recent few decades, the ideas, theories and practices related to the relationship between the state and civil society have changed. Now, it is necessary to strengthen the participation of the local population through associations in the management of local public affairs. This article examines the participation of associations -as part of local governance - in the collective management. With this intention, on the basis of an empirical study led within the city of Agadir, we will examine the potential role associations to improve the collective management of local public affairs. "
