Local-overall Interaction Buckling Analysis of High-strength Steel Equal Angle Members under Axial Compression

Abstract
By using the finite-element software ANSYS,the local-overall interaction bucklings of 25 highstrength steel equal angle members under axial compression were analyzed. Considering the initial imperfections and double nonlinearities,the ultimate bearing capacity of local-overall interaction buckling uctimate bearing capacity was obtained. The effect of different width-thickness ratio of the angle leg and yield strength on the ultimate bearing capacity of local-overall interaction buckling was analyzed. By using the approach of interactive buckling,the interactive buckling formulas were obtained for the high-strength steel equal angle members under axial compression. The rationality of the formulas is proved which can provides a reference for future engineering design.
