Logic of postmodernism culture of F. Jameson

Abstract
Shifts in understanding contemporary culture is largely dependent on the initial methodological assumptions underlying the research programs. Such conditions, in its turn, depend on one side from the philosophical foundations, and on the other, from the actual material, which in this case are the descriptions of the specific manifestations of culture such as art, religion, science itself, and more. al. Features of contemporary culture connected with the changes that began during the second half of the 20th century, which are characterized by the same features as the semantic pluralism, decentration, ambiguity, fragmentation, volatility, and others. Such changes require the development of new research strategies. One of the programs offered F. Jameson in «Postmodernism, or the Logic of late capitalism». From a methodological point of view, the most interesting in this approach is the description and analysis of «cultureproduction». The main feature of this process is the merging of the economic potential with the results of cultural development, as a result – the cultural environment and the market are one and the same environ. The article analyzes the views taken by F. Jameson in the context of understanding of contemporary culture as a whole.
