Logistyka handlu zagranicznego Polski w pierwszych latach transformacji (1989-1995)
Journal Title: Logistics and Transport - Year 2009, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
The article presents logistics of the Polish foreign trade in 1989-1995, especially in the eastern and western directions. The main aim of the article is presentation of the reorientation processes of the direction of the Polish foreign trade by 180 degrees; from the East to the West. It was an unusual logistic operation, crucial from the economical and political point of view for creating new connections between Poland and Western countries (European Union), instead of connections with USSR and soviet bloc (post-soviet). In the meantime a trade was built with Russia based on the partnership rules. Poland was organizing new structures and connections “on ruins” of the communist bloc, without participation of USSR (Russia). Poland’s adaptation to the process of the trade liberalization in Europe and in the world also took place. It required creating of new international agreements, transport networks etc. The process made it possible to create in few years a logistic base for the strong “anchoring” of Poland in the West, for the first time on such a wide scale for centuries
