Los desafíos de enseñar a comprender

Abstract

This article presents the key -ideas of two programs that were designed for students from the 3rd and 6th school grade, as well as examples of didactic sequences to help improve reading comprehension levels. Based on reading -comprehension theorical models with a vygotskian approach to learning, through the creation of six characters –Vincent Intelligent, Martial Literal, Pascual Inferential, Constance Reorganization, Francesca Critic and Gustaf Significance –referencing six of the processes involved in reading-comprehension, these programs show how to encourage reading and at the same time promote the development of reading strategies, of reading - comprehension and metacomprehension skills.
