L’univers Symbolique D'orhan Pamuk: La Neige, Le Miroir Et Labyrinthe
Journal Title: International Journal of Langauges' Education and Teaching - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
Writing itself is a symbol of ideas expressed and perceived. It is the multiplicity of symbols that founds literary writing. The esthetics of O. Pamuk lies in this complexity: it creates doubt, situates the narrative between dream and reality, between imagination and real life. It reveals the infinite complexity of relationships between love and reason, religion and the disbelieving world, the appearance of events and their profound meaning. The author uses every means to destabilize the reader who must let himself be transported by the given images and reflections without wondering whether they are real or unreal. Orhan Pamuk's symbolic universe is rich. Snow, mirror, game and labyrinths reveal through the symbolic mechanism of the novelistic creation. This approach modifies the literary landscape, forcing the reader to invent a new textual decoding, a new way of seeing. We wanted to show the symbolic universe of the author, at the same time as he continues to question the style, building step by step a new Turkish literature of high holding inviting the reader to follow him in a world where he is so constantly question of spiritual voyage.
