Macedonian Medical Master of Science (MSc) Theses Defended in 2007

Abstract

A Master of Science (MSc) (Latin: Magister Scientiæ; abbreviated MSc, M.Sc., M.S. or S.M.) is a postgraduate academic master’s degree awarded by universities in a large number of countries. The degree is typically studied for in the sciences and occasionally in the social sciences. In Republic of Macedonia the postgraduate studies-masters studies are established in 1975, but the study program was revised in 1992. The study program consists of: basic subjects, obligatory and electives with the special accent to the mentors education. Candidates are submitting MSc under the guidance of mentor, the proposal is reviewed by 3 university professors for applicability, final submission is accepted by reviewer commision of 3 university professors, and publically defended. Macedonian Medical Master of Science (MSc) Degrees are deposited in the Central Medical Library and National and University Library "St. Kliment Ohridski" in Skopje. We publish abstracts of MSc theses defended in 2007 at the Faculty of Medicine, University “Ss Kiril and Metodij”, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. English summaries are published as they are translated by authors and included in the final version of defended MSc. Editorial Borad do not take responsibility either for the content, nor for the quality of the abstracts. At the Faculty of Medicine there are defended 20 MSc theses in 2007 and three of them are wihout the abstract (15 %).
