Postgraduate neurologists’ full-fledged and effective training / retraining is noted to be contingent upon cross-discipline (neurology, language education, psychology, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, neurolinguistics) scientists’ creative interaction. The possibilities for solving urgent socially important health care aspects are pointed out to be given at the interdisciplinary research and educational level. A word is established to be a control determinant in higher nervous activity. Linguistic / bilingual training is emphasized to be effective for enlarging neurologists' scientific and practical scope. There is substantiated a direct interdependence between the levels of neurologists' foreign linguistic and professional competence. The international scientific cooperation, information and research communications intensification require perfecting an appropriate field-specific foreign language training, especially with regard to improving terminology knowledge and skills, developing cognitive abilities for mastering foreign neurological definitions. It is proposed that the ways to introduce international standards, norms, tests, classification parameters into the national health care system be analyzed as well as an optimal version of using foreign definitions be developed in neurological practice. Scientists and educators are invited to improve the linguistic didactic approaches to foreign special terminology effective teaching / learning and professional use. Prospects for solving complex tasks of building neurologists' foreign linguistic / terminological competence are found in implementing innovative professionally oriented methods and technologies.
