MACROFUNGAL DIVERSITY OF A PEAT BOG FROM DORNA DEPRESSION (EASTERN CARPATHIANS, ROMANIA)

Abstract

This study was carried out in a peat bog located in Dorna Depression (Eastern Carpathians), near the Ortoaia village (Suceava County, Romania). In the four years of field investigations we found 61 macrofungal species in phytocenoses of plant associations Sphagno-Piceetum and Vaccinio uliginosi-Pinetum sylvestris. Among these we notice the presence of some rare species, such as: Inocybe napipes, Hypholoma myosotis and Psilocybe turficola. Also, the importance of this peat bog for biodiversity conservation is emphasized by the presence of Calla palustris, a rare species in Romania.
