Abstract
Bharavi was a famous poet in the post -era period of Kalidas .Although his story ‘Kiratarjuniyam’ had been adopted from the ‘Mahabharata’ he has given in it uniqueness by his poetic quality . The main subject of this epic is fight between Arjuna and disguising hunter Mahadev and getting of ‘Pashupat’ weapon by Arjuna .His poetic trait is ‘glory of meaning’ . He has narrated virtue , style and figure of speech in such and excellent way which has been adjudged him as a ‘Mahakavi’.
