MAIN METHODS AND MODELS OF FORMATION OF LEGAL TERMS IN GERMAN LANGUAGE

Abstract
Despite the fact that there are many studies devoted to the study of terminology in various fields in order to systematize terminological units, analyze their lexical properties, determine their operational characteristics in the practice of linguistics, some aspects of the terminological system have not yet been sufficiently studied. For example, the most effective ways and methods of forming legal terminology in German language are not defined as linguistic rules. Based on these phenomena, today it is relevant to consider the features of word formation of legal terms in German language. The relevance of studying the word formation of terminological units in the field of legal studies of German language is also associated with knowledge of the methods and means of word formation, which contributes to mastering the vocabulary of the studied language, which has not only theoretical but also direct practical significance for mastering a foreign language. This article examines issues related to the distinction between word-formation terms, such as a word-formation model, a word-formation type, a method and means of word-formation. Based on practical experience, legal terms extracted through a continuous sample from legal texts, as well as from German-Russian legal dictionaries, were used as research material. The study revealed that the most effective ways of forming terminological units of German language in the field of jurisprudence are compounding and affixation and a combination of these two methods. Most terms are independent groups of words consisting of nouns, and the main word-formation is the prefix-suffix and suffix models
