Maintenance of System for Abrasive Waterjet Cutting

Journal Title: Mašinstvo - Year 2016, Vol 13, Issue 3

Abstract

Abrasive waterjet cutting process is accepted effective technology for cutting various materials. Cutting process is based on kinetic energy of waterjet and abrasive particles which are used for material removal in the cutting zone. Erosional contact between abrasive particles and cutting components leads to damage in abrasive waterjet cutting system. Damages of above mentioned components cause lower cutting efficiency and precision level. To obtain the desired cutting efficiency and precision level maintenance of abrasive waterjet cutting system is needed. The maintenance process is based on various activities which realisation time interval is determined in accordance with usage intensity of cutting components.
