MAJOR CHALLENGES OF SUSTAINABLE FARM DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
This article investigates and reveals the main problems of sustainable development of farms. The object of study is the set of theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of sustainable development of farms; the purpose of this article is the synthesis of theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of sustainable development of farms of Ukraine and development of the scientifically based proposals. Theoretical and methodological basis of the study is the dialectical method of cognition of social phenomena and systematic approach to the study of the conditions and mechanisms of sustainable development of farms, which made it possible to explore deeply the areas of solving some problems of sustainable development, the techniques of abstract logical method were also used, including induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, analogies and comparisons, formalization and modeling. Methods of comparison, elimination, graphics, time series compilation and clustering were used for analytical studies. The main issues related to sustainable development of farms were investigated, highlighted and described. Based on the analysis of the general agricultural production by the farms of Ukraine and its efficiency, product range and quality, the main problems of sustainable development were described. For the sake of sustainable farm development it was suggested to reduce the production risks by increasing the variety of products, its product range, improving production efficiency through innovation, new technologies and sharing knowledge and experience, increasing production capacity. The basic problems of sustainable farm development and the ways to solve them were studied. Suggestions for sustainable farm development were given. The results of the research are applied primarily in the work of farms, private (peasant) farms and agricultural enterprises.
